Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Dentists

As the NHS is meant to meet all your clinical needs, ie the treatment which is necessary to secure and maintain your oral health, I am confused how if I have some polishing work done on a couple of teeth on the NHS it costs £8 and if I go private it costs £48. Given I do not require (or am likely to get) a shine thats whiter than white on my back molars, how can the cost be so different as its by the same dentist in the same place and will take the same duration. Saying that, the dentist recommended I have it done privately as it would be better (go figure) so thats what I shall do.
