Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.
Time
We all know the old adage that there are never enough hours in the day, and this is certainly the case for me. When at work, I try and get as much done as possible, before leaving and doing all the things I want to and should do with what is left with "my" time. Invariably there are always things that drop off the to do list until tomorrow, however of late this has become increasingly so. Even worse is that the things I am doing, I find I am not enjoying or doing as well or they get shelved before I start because I know I can't finish them in the time I have.
Now today I have a day off and rather than do any of the numerous things I want to do or have been putting off, I find myself drawn to the sofa with only tea, biscuits, Eddie and a good book to keep me company. Needless to say Eddie is more interested in eating the locusts that just got delivered but hey, each to their own.
I suppose what this boils down to is that as I don't have that much free time, I sometimes worry that I don't use it wisely or productively. In hindsight I think that I am being a bit too hard on myself. If I wanted to do the other things that badly I would. Therefore I might as well enjoy the piece and quiet while it lasts and go back to being productive later, possibly whilst chastising myself for doing nothing when I had the opportunity and resolving to be more productive in future.
