Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Needles

A year has passed since I sat in a small hospital bed connected to a apheresis machine. Slowly and systematically all the blood was drained from me before being returned sans stem cells. A week prior to that, I received daily injections to increase cell production. Prior to that a series of blood samples were taken. Months before that further samples. Yesterday my latest set of samples. Yet, however often it happens, I never really get used to it.

Its not that I don't like needles, I just prefer them not sticking in me.
