Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Rome

With three days left before we arrive in Rome it has suddenly become apparent that neither of us are fluent in Italian.

Perhaps this was an oversight when we booked the holiday. Between us we speak English, French and German, aswell as being able to converse in Russian and Polish (so long as it concerns either the weather or the metro in the former or broken bears in the latter - don't ask), but sadly not Italian.

In the past hour bar the pleasantries all we have learnt is that neither of us can string more than a couple of sentences together and whats worse is Stephen Hawkins sounds more Italian than I.

This could be interesting.
