Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

 

Updates

After a long weekend there are some changes round here, some of which are noticeable and others are merely functional.

There are now valid RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds should anyone want them. There is also a WAP index, although functionality is a bit limited.

Comments are set up, and I just need to open the comments on all the photos. Hopefully everything should all work, although I haven't tested it too thorougly.

The comment implementation is ok and the spam banning work I have been doing seems to be ok, and a write up will follow.

The CSS is standardised across the site and even validates although the Bobby test is slightly off and the XHTML 1.0 validation fails miserably. The latter two items I will be looking at in the future.

Elsewhere, I have used SSIs to minimise the amount of code I have to trawl through on a daily basis, although this has led to an almost doubling of templates.
