Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.
Oops
How embarrassing. Locked out of my own user account and I don't have the rights to sort it out. Where are the helpdesk when you need them...

I am of cause joking, but some IT helpdesk do think letting users set there own passwords by expiring takes the burden off of them constantly changing passwords where in fact it is my view if you give this power to the user you inevitably cause you some work at lease by allowing the user to set a new password again and yet again they forget, I can see the merits of this in a large organisation when changing and tracking 1000's of passwords may seem impossible I beg to differ, although this dose mean someone somewhere may have access to all the password!
Dose this really mater (Take Ownership)
