Channel 4's Where to Invest number 1:

Oxford - Wealthy students, families and young professionals: a perfect mix

  1. Average house price 2005: £265,034
  2. Projected average house price 2010: £377,673

The upper end of the student market will take on four bedroom properties at approximately £1800 pcm total. Houses like this in east Oxford will cost around £300K.

And they ain't joking.
