Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Sin City: The Big Fat Kill by Frank Miller

Sin City: The Big Fat Kill

4.5 out of 5 stars

'KAK'

'CHUNK'

The third book in the Sin City series sees Dwight return from his outing in A Dame To Kill For with an ensemble cast including Gail, Miho and the rest of the old Town girls. As a result of protecting Shelley his actions threaten to spark a gang war, and with the re-appearance of Manute and some ex-IRA, it seems all walls are closing in as Dwight fights to protect those close to him.

Theres a subtle change in art, with thicker lines, which seems to work well with a subtle change in the story, both plotwise and themewise - the story is relatively linear compared with the other stories and moves along swiftly to its rather brutal conclusion.
