Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Whilst not as shocking as it may have once been, some thirty plus years later, it remains a timeless classic. The change in the characters that occurs during the course of the doomed canoe trip as a response to the events that befall them is masterful and played out against the stunning backdrops make Deliverance both a fascinating and breathtaking piece of cinema.
If you need another reason, or two, both Jon Voight and Burt Reynolds' performances are pretty damn fine.
Finally, the film contains the Duelling Banjo's scene. Oh, and the less pleasant 'Squeal like a pig' scene. These are things you know even if you havent seen them. And if you haven't seen them, you need to.*
* Well you don't actually need to see the piggie scene, and I take no real responsibility for mental trauma incurred.
