Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Aberystwyth Mon Amour by Malcolm Pryce

Aberystwyth Mon Amour

Malcolm Pryce

4 out of 5 stars

Schoolboys are disappearing all over Aberystwyth and nobody knows why. Louie Knight, the town's private investigator, only discovers that yet another boy has gone missing when Myfanwy Montez, the star of Wales' most notorious nightclub, the Moulin, comes to ask him to track down her missing cousin, Evans the Boot. He soon realises that it is going to take more than a double ripple from Solsan, the philosopher cum ice-cream seller, to help find out what is happening to these boys and whether or not Lovespoon, the Welsh teacher, Grand Wizard of the Druids and controller of the town, is more than just a sinister bully. And just who was Gwenno Guevara?.

Noir(ish) twist on welsh culture filled with humour and observation.
