Scratch

Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.

Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.

On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead

Kim Harrison

4 out of 5 stars

It's a tough life for witch Rachel Morgan, sexy, independent bounty hunter, prowling the darkest shadows of downtown Cincinnati for criminal creatures of the night.

She can handle the leather-clad vamps and even tangle with a cunning demon or two. But a serial killer who feeds on the experts in the most dangerous kind of black magic is definitely pressing the limits.

Confronting an ancient, implacable evil is more than just child's play -- and this time, Rachel will be lucky to escape with her very soul.

Picking up where the first book leaves off, we see the continuing adventures or Rachel Morgan, her vampire roomie Ivy, boyfriend Nick and Jenk's the pixie sees them investigating the deaths of several witches, and coming up against some old adversaries.

Rachel's relationships with the other characters and her own past are delved into more deeply and we start to learn some of the characters secrets and histories and it helps explain their actions, and as their stories unfold we see how they weave together.
