Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

With two very good predecessors, there was always the danger that the third in the Spider-Man trilogy would turn out like X-Men 3 or Batman Forever, and whilst it is very polished, with great effects, there was just too much going on and the plot failed to hold it together.
Bigger is not always better, and the film could easily have been split into two movies, with several story lines being set up in three and being completed in four which would have created a more balanced movie(s). Maguire, Dunst and Franco, all acquit themselves as per the previous movies, but an increase in characters meant Topher Grace and Bryce Howard didn't get the time to develop as perhaps I would have liked. Perhaps in the latter's case, more time in the oft discussed number 4.
Oh, as always, Bruce Campbell was excellent.
