Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Miyazaki's adaptation of the novel by Diana Wynne Jones, is a story of love and the pointlessness of war. Unlike some animations, it avoids saccharine sweetness and uses its rich background detail and storyline with stunning animation, both hand drawn and CG, to get its messages and themes across. The voice actors for the English version, Bill Crystal, Christian Bale and Lauren Bacall cannot be faulted and suit their characters well.
Well worth the money and good for repeated vewings.
