Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.

Mike Enslin, a paranormal writer, investigates room 1408 of the Dolphin Hotel. The film, an adaptation of a short story by Stephen King, is essentially John Cusack on his own in a room (with deliciously bad decor) for 90 minutes which allows him to display his range to great effect as he battles everything the room can throw at him. The film itself is very clever, avoiding most of the cliches and using clever tricks for the majority to hint at the unseen scariness that lurks rather than showing it.
