Scratch
Here you will find older scratches, musings and other detritus that once were located on the front pages, but have now faded.
Filed away here to collect dust and cobwwwebs in perpetuity, links may break, facts may change and data may corrupt.
On occasion I may come down here to tidy, but for the most, I prefer to leave the past where it lies.
Bomb Queen: Woman of Mass Destruction v. 1
Jimmy Robinson

THERE ARE SOME PLACES IN THE WORLD THAT YOU SHOULD NOT VISIT. "Sexy! Bawdy! Funny as hell!" For over a decade, the citizens of New Port City have ben to the blood-lust and sexual perversion of their super-villian dictator. But that changed when a Hero came to town and challenged the rule of ... BOMB QUEEN. PROOF POSITIVE YOU GET THE GOVERNMENT YOU DESERVE! NOT FOR Children (or squeamish adults)
Ok. Lets not make any bones about this, if you like dark comedy, unbridled sex, blood and violence, not to mention good artwork, then you will probably like this. WYSIWYG. The main character in this book is a scantily-clad mass-murdering sociopath who spends most of her time simulatenously pulling explosives from clothing that wouldn't keep a door mouse warm in winter whilst performing gymnastics that would make Olympians blush. Effectively she is the epitome of evil, running a city that under her direction has legalised crime zones (oxymoron?) and a ban on all heros, with the government turning a blind eye due to the high revenues and taxes poured into the state coffers not to mention an almost unswaying public adoration for her brutal honesty (and approach).
True, the book has received comments about crossing the line between risque humour and downright offensiveness, but as the reader its your interpretation. For me the blatantly extreme violence and sexual under/overtones was put in context by the stylised artwork. I am as likely to throw an Acme anvil out of the window on a passing Geococcyx californianusas I am to be influenced by some of the content.
One thing I would say is that a fair hare of the controversial items and imagery will probably be glazed over in a first view, and its only afterwards when you look into the background...
I think its doen enough to make me get the second trade...
